In NCAA Football Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, we will see Western Michigan at BYU.
Betting Prediction:
The Western Michigan Broncos lost their quarterback early in the season but still went onto have a great campaign. The offense produced a lot, averaging 450 yards and 33.2 points per game, including the running attack which averages 205 yards. The Broncos allow 378 yards and 33 points per game and struggle for consistency. The talent on defense is not enough to keep up with the talent on offense. Levante Bellamy gave Western Michigan plenty of punch on the ground with 1,172 yards on 190 touches.
BYU finished the season 6-6 and they weren’t bowl bound at all. BYU are averaging 25 points per game but showed that they have talent on offense and that they can hurt you when everything is falling for them. On defense, they are a tough team to beat, allowing just 21 points per game. The Cougars rushing attack was a three-man game with Lopini Katoa, Squally Canada and Matt Hadley combining for just over 1,200 yards on 239 touches.
BYU is the better team and has the better defense, however, the line is a bit high to me. I can see them winning by a touchdown but 13 points is too much to ask for, especially for a team that doesn’t have a high-powered offense.
