The Redskins’ quarterback got injured recently and they certainly know what life is without him now. They lost the 2 games they played without him but still in playoff contention since they are one game behind the Cowboys in the NFC East standings. Offensively, they haven’t been great all year and without Alex Smith, things look even worse. His replacement, Colt McCoy passed for 322 yards so far with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
The Eagles haven’t looked impressive at all and they are coming off 3 weeks where they couldn’t deliver as expected. They lost to the Cowboys at home, then they were dismantled by the Saints in a 48-7 loss and they needed to come back big time against the struggling Giants, in order to win the last one at home. Carson Wentz is also having a “hangover” year, completing 70% of his passes for 2540 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions.
Given the fact that McCoy will be starting once again, I expect the Eagles defense to finally show up while Wentz should have enough in his arms to beat Washington by a touchdown. Easy win for Philadelphia.
