Travon McMillian hopes he will have the same game he had last week against Pittsburgh on Thursday. He ran for 131 yards while Evans was also capable of throwing the football accurately to his receivers. Virginia Tech’s defense showed up in that game, sacking Miami’s quarterback 8 times and forcing the opposition to punt.
Pittsburgh’s offense has been terrific as they are averaging 38.4 points per game and they have scored at least 36 points in six straight games. But their defense is holding them back because they are struggling against the pass and allowing the opponents’ offense to have a big day.
The matchup I am looking forward to is Evans against the Pittsburgh defense. The defense will allow him to throw the football to any receiver he picks and he will probably have a 300+ yard game. I believe Pittsburgh’s offense won’t be able to keep up with Virginia’s and they will lose the game by 5 or more points.
