The last time these two teams played Virginia routed Virginia Tech by 23 points. The Cavaliers are getting the better of the Hokies in recent years, winning 9 of their last 10 meetings. Virginia is ranked first in scoring defense, allowing only 54 points per game. Their offense is run well by the guard London Perrantes who is averaging 12 points and 4 assists per game. The defense is doing its job but if they are to beat Virginia Tech on the road, they have to be more careful with the ball and limit their mistakes as they did earlier in the season. Virginia’s defense will do just enough to frustrate the Hokies and the offense will cover the points spread.
