Match: Valencia – Granada
Date: Friday, 25 September, 2015
Start time: 19:30 GMT
In the first match of the programme of the sixth round of La Liga Valencia hosts Granada. The game is on Friday at 21:30 of at stadium “Mestalla”.
Valencia:
Valencia made a poor start to the season and it is time the team Nuno Espirito Santo to rise head. In the intermediate round on weekdays Valencia away defeats Espanyol 0:1, and before that the 0: 0 at home to Betis, who played with a man less. So the team occupies 9th position after the first five rounds with a total of 6 points.
Last week, Valencia lose and the start of the Champions League. “The Bats” fell by 2:3 Zenit on “Mestalla” expectations were hosts to reach success over the divided team of Andre Villas Boas, but the opposite happened.
The big problem the team has injuries to both goalkeepers Diego Alves and Matthew Ryan. They remain outside accounts mentor Nuno in the upcoming match like joins them and midfielder Andre Gomes. In midfield, however, “bats” have very good players like Enzo Perez, Danny Pareho and Javi Fuego, so lack of Gomes should not affect in any way the game of the team. On top of the attack is expected to return Alvaro Negredo, who does not appear in the game against Espanyol. Partners in the forefront of the Spaniard will be Sofiane Feghuli and Pablo Piatti.
Granada:
Granada recording just one win this season and has three points in its assets, which sent them into the relegation zone to 18th position. In their last two meetings Granada even no goal scored after losing to Real Sociedad at home with 0:3 and 0:1 in visit to Real Madrid. Last season Sevilla barely escaped relegation clearly and in this campaign that will be their aim – to retain their place in the elite.
In the team’s missing two key players – Ruben Perez and Piti, who are injured. They are a very important part of the midfield Jose Ramon Sandoval, but he can not rely on them.
Last season, Valencia beat Granada at home 4:0. “The Oranges” have very succes games against this opponent at own tadium. In four games at “Mestalla” they have four wins. In total 8 matches Valencia has seven wins and one draw, so their advantage is tangible.
Last season Valencia defeated Granada at home, but now the team Nuno Santo is not in good shape. Granada will rely on safety in this game and try to leave at least a point from the “Mestalla”. Expect defensive play from them, waiting for chances to counter-attack. I’m almost convinced that the game will not see more than three goals, as attackers hosts Alkaser and Negredo are in disrepair.
