The Houston Cougars are coming off a loss at home against Temple. They certainly be looking to correct that in this one and they are the big favorites to do so. They are 4-1 at home and D’Eriq King has 7 touchdowns and 1 interception over the last two games. King also rushed for 125 yards last week and he is expected to have another monster game against the shaky Tulane’s defense.
Tulane is on a 3-game winning streak which helped the team get to a .500 record. The Green Waves are 2-3 on the road but there is a difficult task in front of them- to beat one of the hottest offenses in college football. QB Justin McMillan threw for 3 touchdowns last week after having back to back game with no touchdowns. Darius Bradwell will also be very important in this one, in order for him to take some off the workload off McMillan’s shoulder.
The Cougars are hungry for a win and they need to keep their hopes alive to stay ranked in the top 25. This will certainly happen with a win here and given the fact that Houston is 5-1 ATS, I believe that they will cover the spread in this one as well.
