The Tampa Bay Lightning proved to be the best team in the Eastern Conference, however, in recent weeks they showed some inconsistency. They lost to Nashville a few days ago but then managed to bounce back with a solid 4-1 win over the Canadiens. Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed a single goal on 35 attempts in the previous game and he is now 7-3 on the year. Although he has proven to be their most reliable goalie, they will be sending Louis Domingue out in this one who is 2-1.
Ottawa have major issues on defense and it will be a real miracle for them not to concede more than 2 goals. They are coming off a humiliating loss where they allowed 9 goals to a Buffalo team that is 26th in the league in scoring. They are 5-8 and in 6th place in the Atlantic Division. They are prolific scorers, ranked 12th in the league, however their last on defense, allowing 4.23 goals per game.
With the offense Tampa Bay’s having, I just can’t pick against them. It should be an easy win on the road for one of the best teams in the NHL.
