The Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped with a home win over the Chargers last Sunday but their performance was far from perfect. Things do not get better for them as they head to Chicago for a road game against the Bears. Moreover, there are a lot of questionable players that are sitting out of practice the past couple of days- WR Mike Evans, RB Leonard Fournette, WR Chris Godwin, TE OJ Howard, RB LeSean McCoy, WR Scotty Miller.
In terms of practice participation, things look way better for the Bears. Khalil Mack has limited practice this week but he is expected to play against the Bucs. Chicago is also 3-1 and they lost their first game last week against the Colts, 19-11. Nick Foles struggled for the most part and he finished the game with a touchdown and an interception. Indianapolis managed to limit the ground game to just 27 yards on 10 carries for David Montgomery.
The injuries on Tampa’s side concern me but the Bears’ passing game is not solid while the ground game will be fully neutralized by probably the best run defense in football. I expect to see some WR names return to the football field on Thursday for Tampa, so they can win this one on the road.
