Pittsburgh is coming off a crucial win over Duke last week by 54-45, in order to get to .500. V’Lique Carter had a one-man show. Recruited as a defensive back, the Panthers turned him into a running back and he is improving with each game played. Pittsburgh’s offense is rolling and both of their running backs are helping the QB to complete easier passes. Qadree Ollison also played a big part in the win over Duke as he went for 149 rushing yards and a score.
There is another converted player in this game. This is Olamide Zaccheaus who was recruited as a running back but then turned into a great receiver and he’s moved wide to a wide receiver role. He even broke the school record for most catches in a single season with 85 in 2017. He seems to have great connection with Bryce Perkins and Perkins can be happy too because he benefits from it.
Virginia is ranked 23rd and they have a great opportunity to build on that. I do not expect them to collapse and their defense should be able to keep Pittsburgh at bay for some time of the ball game.
