The Philadelphia Eagles are still suffering from the Super Bowl 2018 hangover. They lost their last two games in a narrow fashion against the Titans and the Vikings. Wentz showed glimpses of the old Carson who was a potential MVP last year. He completed 24 of his 35 passing attempts which was good for 311 yards and two touchdowns. Zach Ertz is his favorite target so far and he had 110 yards on 10 catches and a touchdown against Minnesota.
The Giants started the season as favorites to go get a wild card for the playoffs but they are now 1-4. Their offense did not play well in the first 4 games and even Odell Beckham Jr. started questioning his teammates’ abilities. Prior to their game against the Panthers, New York were ranked 29th in points scored with just 18.3. Eli Manning responded in quick fashion by putting up great numbers at Carolina- 22-of-36 passes for 326 yards with 2 touchdowns.
The Giants’ defense looks good against the pass and if Eli Manning can connect like he did last year at MetLife Stadium (434 passing yards), I believe that New York can cause the upset. Philly’s not the same and they may have trouble against Saquon Barkley as well whom I see having at least 1 touchdown.
