Partizani Tirana finished on the second position in Albanian Superliga and will start his participation in Europa League from the first qualifying round. Last season they started again on the first round but lost from Strømsgodset from Norway with 1-4 agg. They have one win in all ten games in this tournament – against Birkirkara on 2004 year. Then Partizan reached the second qualifying round but was eliminated from Bnei Sakhnin (Israel).
Slovan Bratislava failed to win the title in Slovakia for the consecutive second year and again missed the chance to play in the Champions League. Last season Slovan started from second and eliminated UCD with 6-1 agg, but in next round lost from Krasnodar as away with 0-2 and at home ended in a draw 2-2. Slovan played two friendlies before the away game in Tirana. They lost both – from Slavia Praha (0:4) and Bohemians (1:2).
Betting Prediction:
The team of Slovan is quite the class team, with a few foreigners in composition and experienced striker Robert Vittek, who was not part of the team of Slovakia at Euro 2016. I expect that the Slovaks will win the first game in Tirana as it will play on counter-attacks and their better players should take advantage of their chances.
