Betting Prediction:
The Oklahoma City Thunder made the exit early in the playoffs last year but their off-season was very productive. The most important thing was that they were able to re-sign Paul George while also acquiring Dennis Schroeder and Nerlens Noel. Finally, the Thunder have a true point guard on their roster and I believe that Schroeder and Westbrook can play together on the court while Steven Adams finally has an alternative in Noel’s face. They lost Anthony to free agency but that experiment with him never paid off.
The Warriors, on the other side, are looking for another championship in their most dominant dynasty. They didn’t need to improve their roster in the off-season because they are so much better than anyone else in the league but that didn’t stop from signing DeMarcus Cousins. However, he is currently recovering from a serious injury and we might not see their best potential until late in the regular season.
I think that the Warriors will be a little distracted in the season opener against a side that will miss Roberson and Westbrook is questionable. That is why the spread is a bit high but I will take the risk, considering that Westbrook will play and the OKC Thunder will cover the spread of 12 points.
