Betting Prediction:
Ohio hasn’t appeared in a bowl game since 2011 but this may change on Tuesday when they face the Central Michigan University. Quinton Maxwell, who is a redshirt freshman, has performed at a high level in the last two games for Ohio, throwing two touchdowns. He used Amari Coleman and Josh Cox effectively and if this continues against CMU, Ohio will be tough to be beaten.
CMU struggle against Miami Ohio, going for just 292 overall yards on offense while their opponents went for 436. Cooper Rush didn’t throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season and I expect him to be much better on Tuesday.
It will be interesting to see Maxwell against CMU’s secondary which can shut down anybody if they play at the high level we are accustomed to see them. I also think Rush won’t have the same embarrassing game he had against Miami Ohio and he will throw at least 2 touchdown passes.
