Betting Prediction:
The Oakland Raiders will play without Derek Carr in the Wildcard Playoff Game after his devastating season-ending injury in week 16. Connor Cook threw for 150 yards for one touchdown and one interception in the game against the Broncos. Latavius Murray will be needed for most of the time to get the job done on offense because Cook will not get as much touches as Carr usually gets. The Raiders’ defense will play against an elite running back like Lamar Miller who can tear the front seven apart for big gains.
Osweiler will probably start for the Texans but he was very inconsistent throughout the whole season. He can have a good game against the 23rd ranked Raiders’ defense. Miller has gone for over 1000 rushing yards but their offense is not very good overall, averaging 17.4 points per game. The Texans’ defense will be the key to victory in this contest.
Just because Derek Carr will miss this game due to injury, I give the edge to Houston which elite defense will keep Cook quiet and the Texans’ offense will be just good enough to see of the Raiders.
