Notre Dame just fired their defensive coordinator because they were awful in their first games of the season. Fighting Irish came into the season with high hopes of a successful campaign but they lost 3 of their first 4 games while Syracuse won 2 and lost 2. Both teams have shown that they can’t be included as contenders but they still have elite rosters. I can’t decide which offense is better because both of them have great players but Notre Dame is the team with more playmaking talent.
Syracuse’s defense is clearly much better than their opponents’ who made their first sack last week. Notre Dame went 14-0 but their “green” secondary couldn’t do much to keep the receivers off the ball.

Notre Dame’s pass rush is just horrendous and I don’t think Syracuse will have problems scoring points against them. That’s why I think that either Syracuse will win this one or at least they will be close to taking the win.
