North Carolina vs Texas A&M 1/2/21 Betting Prediction
UNC had an interesting year with lots of exciting games. The Tar Heels beat the hell out of Virginia Tech, NC State, and Miami but also lost to Florida State, Virginia, and Notre Dame. Two of those losses, however, could’ve easily been turned into victories if the Tar Heels were a bit more careful on the defensive end. The team is allowing 28.4 points per game and that is a lot for a ranked team. The offense, however, is doing a tremendous job, averaging 42.8 points, 249 rushing yards, and 307.5 passing yards per game.
Texas A&M is ranked 5th in the country and the Aggies were even considered as a playoff contender at one point. Their only loss came against Alabama but outside of that, they haven’t really given any team a chance to win against them. The team is averaging 31.9 points per game while the defense is allowing just 21.1 points. QB Kellen Mood is completing 63.5% of his passes for 2050 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
Clearly, Texas A&M is better on the defensive end and this is what usually wins the bowl games. They should not have much trouble moving the chains against the UNC defense but at the same time, the Aggies will make some key defensive stops which will give them the victory.
