The best rivalry in college basketball returns and we all can’t wait to watch the game on Thursday. Duke’s best players are finally off the injury table and the Blue Devils can use all four freshmen at the same time- Harry Giles, Jayson Tatum, Marques Bolden were injured in the beginning of the season. Grayson Allen has finally brought back his usual form, averaging 20 points per game on 44.8% three-point shooting. Giles and Tatum found their rhythm in recent weeks and they are living up to the expectations fans had for them earlier this season.
The North Carolina Tar Heels have a big advantage on the point guard spot because Joel Berry II is one of the top prospects at his position, averaging 15 points per game, 4 assists and 3.2 rebounds. North Carolina has one of the best rebounding units in the country and their players are simply bigger and stronger than Duke’s ones in the paint. Duke is having a problem defending isolation plays and North Carolina has too many players who can make their own shot off the dribble such as Berry, Nate Britt and Justin Jackson who is averaging 18.6 points per game.

They are better at rebounding the basketball and they have many big players who can give up fouls, go to the bench and their substitutes will still give you good rebounding skills. That’s why it is hard for me to pick against UNC, even on the road, even at Duke.
