Manning has completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 1,662 yards and six TDs with four picks (90.9 QB rating) on the season. Even with good offensive pieces, he still finds a way to lose. They were destroyed by the Eagles last week by 34-13 when he did not a throw single touchdown pass. The only player on their roster that is performing as expected is Saquon Barkley who had a career-high 130 rushing yards and a touchdown against Philly.
Atlanta sits at 2-4 with many narrow losses where they feel they should’ve won. They have many injured players on defense and that allowed Jameis Winston to throw for 395 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions last week. Matt Ryan had his best game of the season against the Bucs, throwing for 355 yards with 3 TDs and no picks. Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu are questionable for the upcoming match but it is more likely for them to play. Although the offense is run well, the defense is ranked 30th in yards allowed per game with 417.
This will certainly be a shootout but I can’t envisage Eli to cover this tiny spread. If they run the ball a lot, they may have a chance but I expect to be down early and they will be made to throw the football.
