The New Orleans Saints did not impress at all in the first two weeks. They also won just 4 out of their last 7 games. Currently, Drew Brees is one of the fewest players who are actually playing well for the Saints. He is completing 81% of his passes which is good for 682 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Alvin Kamara is averaging 75 rushing yards per game with two touchdowns. He seems that he picked up where he left off last year. Defensively, however, the Saints are allowing 33 points and 428 yards per game which is costing them the games.
After the Falcons’ loss to the Eagles, they found their rhythm against the Carolina Panthers. Matt Ryan was almost perfect and they forgot about their red-zone issues that we talked about against Philadelphia. Calvin Ridley scored a touchdown last week and he seems to be the guy that is taking some workload off of Julio Jones’ and Mohamed Sanu’s shoulders. The defense looked speedy and they can put some pressure on Brees as well.
The Saints could’ve easily been 0-2 this season. The Falcons look sharper and into more rhythm. I expect this be a shootout with Matty “Ice” coming out on top at the end.
