Betting Prediction:
Navy are standing at 5-1 after they beat the hell out of Memphis last week, 42-28. USF lost to Temple where their quarterback found himself in trouble and he wasn’t able to keep up with their opponents’ offense. Navy’s ground game is ranked 4th in the country averaging nearly 300 yards per game. The away side will try to contain Flowers who can hurt them with his arm, along with his legs.
Flowers had an okay game against Temple which wasn’t enough to deliver the W. USF’ running game was suspect and this didn’t help, either as they had only 67 yards on the ground. Navy are allowing many passing yards on defense but USF weren’t able to stop the run effectively so far.
I see this game as a wild shootout that will probably be won by whoever defense plays a little bit better. Navy are clearly the favorites and they will put at least 30 on USF but I also think USF will operate successfully through the air.
