The NASCAR season starts this week and we may again see some surprises in the first race.
If we’re looking for some dark horse picks, we should certainly throw the name of Joey Logano into the mix. He finished the season very well, winning 2 of the last 4 races. Overall, it was a very productive year for him and he improved a bit. Logano won the Daytona 500 in 2015 but since then, he hasn’t had very good appearances there.
Still, it is worth to notice that he starts the season very well and it won’t be a surprise to me if he wins the event.
Kurt Busch is another good pick as a dark horse in this one. He has finished in the Top 10 on 5 out of the last 10 occasions. He won the Daytona 500 in 2015 and he also has three runner-up finishes. It is high time he returned to good form and I believe that he has the skills to be an elite driver once again.
Of course, if you’re looking for a “sure” pick, you need to go with Brad Keselowski. He is by far the most consistent driver and anything but a win for him would be a surprise for the NASCAR society.
