Both the Express and the Legends got their wins over the weekend and it will be really interesting how they will respond here. Last week, Memphis racked up just 225 yards on offense and the defense carried them through to get the victory. Zach Mettenberger has been having a subpar season while Zac Stacy is the go-to guy on offense with 232 rushing yards so far on the year.
The Atlanta Legends beat the Hotshots last week in a signature win. They were considered to be the weakest team in the league and they proved the critics wrong with a victory over a team with a winning record. The Legends converted on almost 50% of their third-down situations but they will need to be a lot better on offense this week because no one expects them to convert even 40% of their chances against one of the best defenses in the league.
The Express are certainly the more complete team but it appears that both teams will rely on the defense to give them the win this week. I believe that Memphis has the better defense and this is a big advantage.
