In the first match of the second qualifying round of the Europa League Slovenian Maribor will play against the Bulgarian Levski.

In recent years, Maribor almost is the champion of Slovenia and member of Champions League qualification. The year before last season the team even managed to create a huge sensation and get into the group stage of the tournament, which happened to catch one draw in the matches against Chelsea, Schalke, and Sporting. But last season the team finished in the championship on 2nd position and will play in the Europa League. Before the first game with Levski, Maribor made a draw 0:0 with Celtic.
Levski can not win the championship in Bulgaria since 2009. The last matches of the Bulgarians in the European Cup date back to 2013 year, when the team lost in qualifying from Irtysh Pavlodar.
