In the first game from World Series, we will see Los Angeles Dodgers at Boston Red Sox.
Betting Prediction:
The Red Sox are riding on a 5-game winning streak which started in game 2 against the Houston Astros. They haven’t lost since thanks to their offensive efficiencies, despite the fact that their defense is allowing many points each game, regardless of their starting pitcher. David Price hasn’t played very well in the playoffs so far, even though he had a phenomenal regular season. He won 1 and lost 1 and he is with a 5.11 ERA. Overall, in the playoffs, he is 3-9.
The Dodgers, on the other side, had to fight for every win against the Brewers. Their defense is better than the Red Sox but not significantly better. They were just able to make stops when needed. However, they didn’t have an answer for the big home run scored by Boston in game 1. Their offense is not as explosive as their opponents’, so they will need to keep them quiet for the most part if they are to win the game. Hyun-Jin Ryu will start who is 1-1 in the postseason this year with a 4.40 ERA.
Given the fact that Price is always struggling in the playoffs and that Los Angeles lost because of a homer, I believe that they will be motivated to take the W in game 2 and they will surely deliver.
