The Dodgers are back in the World Series. They made it last year but they lost to the Astros in 7 games. Clayton Kershaw will again be asked to lead his team to victory in game 1. He gave up one run on three hits against the Brewers in the last round while also pitched a shutout inning in game 7 as well. The team is batting .218 in the playoffs but the offense is showing up in big moments so far.
The Red Sox are on a 4-game winning streak after losing their season opener against Houston. Chris Sale will start on the other side and he was again their best pitcher during the regular season and during the playoffs. He has given up 6 hits and 4 runs in the postseason in 10 innings. Boston’s offense performed to a very high level and they clearly have the advantage on that side of the game over the Dodgers.
I’m sure that Kershaw will have a better game on Tuesday. It just depends if the bullpen can keep the Red Sox quiet. I believe that Los Angeles will take a lead before Clayton is out of the game.
