Robson, 22 years old, is on 294th position in the world. She starts the season of grass in Eastbourne on 30 May but lost in the 1st round from Daniela Hantuchova 6-3, 3-6, 1-6. On grass Kerber play in Birmingham, where reached the quarter-finals, but lost against Carla Suarez Navarro 4-6, 6-1, 5-7.

Angelique Kerber has two wins over Robson as Britain won once against this opponent. The success of Laura, however, was on grass and at Wimbledon – in 2011. But then the form of Robson dropped and is now unlikely she will be able to win, but definitely can win at least a set against faltering German.
