Match: Las Palmas – Espanyol Preview, Predictions and Betting Tips
Date: Friday, 22 April, 2016
Start time: 20:00 GMT
Las Palmas hosts Espanyol in the first match of the 35th round of “La Liga”. The meeting is on Friday, April 22, 20:00 GMT at Estadio de Gran Canaria.
Preview:
The hosts need only a point in their remaining four matches to the end of the season to stay in the Primera. Hardly anyone doubts that the team from the Canary Islands will play in the top flight next season. Quique Setien’s troops have 40 points and are in 12th place, and success in the upcoming game can even send them in Top 10 of the ranking.
In their last match Los Amarillos lost 0:1 away to Betis, which ended a run of four games unbeaten in the league. In previous household Las Palmas made it 1:1 with Sporting Gijon, which largely disappointed their fans and now will try to return to winning ways.
With only one win in their last six matches in Primera, Espanyol team occupies 15th place with a total of 37 points. Before the beginning of the 35 th round Constantin Garcia’s troops have a comfortable advance of the relegation zone but have not light program to the end, so you have to earn at least a point against Las Palmas. In the interim circle in the middle of this week, Los Periquitos drew at home against Celta Vigo (1:1), which ended a run of two consecutive defeats.
Quique Setien will not be able to rely on two players in the upcoming match. Aythami Artiles received a red card and he will have to serve his ban against Espanyol. Mubarak Wakaso also will miss the game because he remains in the recovery room.
In the team of guests Felipe Caicedo and Oscar Duarte are injured, while Victor Sanchez misses the match through suspension.
Betting Prediction:
In their last 13 away matches in “La Liga” Espanyol has only one win and ten losses. Given the poor form of the team as away, Las Palmas expect to be greeted with success. In their last six games at home Los Amarillos came out the winner three times, so it is quite likely to win the three points on Friday night against one of the weakest guests in Primera.
