The Kent State Golden Flashes head into this one after snapping a six-game losing streak. They won by 35-28 on the road against a poor Bowling Green side. QB Woody Barrett was solid in the win, throwing for 2 touchdown passes and adding 77 yards on the ground. He has thrown just one interception in his last 3 games and it is certainly not his fault for the Golden Flashes’ poor performances. He seems to be doing everything right but the offensive players often let him down and that is why the offense is struggling. The defense is not good, either, conceding 34.2 points per game and it is ranked 105th overall.
The Buffalo Bulls extended their winning streak to 5 games after beating Miami Ohio by 52-41 last week. Tyree Jackson continued his good performance with 358 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. The Buffalo Bulls defense has been terrific for the whole season but they struggled last week. They are only allowing 23.4 points which is good for 40th place in the country.
I believe that the Bulls’ defense will bounce back in this one and the explosive offense they have will once again produce. I do not see the Golden Flashes covering the spread.
