The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the hottest teams in football in the last couple of weeks. This is the best time for finding a rhythm. QB Trevor Lawrence is actually one of the better QBs left in this year’s postseason. I would rank him up there with Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and Hurts. Lawrence, however, had an interesting playoff debut. He threw 4 TDs and 4 INTs. He also attempted 47 throws which is a lot for a playoff team. He needs to get help from his rushing game if he wants to get something out of the Kansas City game.
The Chiefs skipped the 1st round but also finished the regular season strongly. They found themselves in the second half of the season when they won 10 of their last 11 games. This season, QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 5250 yards, 41 TDs, and 12 INTs. The rushing game is mediocre, but it doesn’t hurt the Chiefs a lot.
The Jaguars lost only 2 games by more than a TD. One of these games was actually against the Chiefs. This game was played in the middle of the season when the Jags were still finding themselves. We should note, however, that Lawrence had a good game, throwing 2 TDs and 0 INTs. The Jaguars are better and will use their rhythm from the first round to cover the spread here.
