Betting Prediction:
The Philadelphia Eagles managed to escape with a win from Washington as they beat the Redskins in the final minutes of the game. The team is not the same on the road and especially, the defense. Carson Wentz showed some very good stuff in game 1 but he was not accurate in some of his throws. I expect him to play a lot better and if the defense gets solid again, they will be in for a great game in Atlanta.
The Atlanta Falcons started week 1 with an embarrassing loss to the Minnesota Vikings on the road. They didn’t manage to score a single point in the first half and the running game was missing. Matt Ryan opened the season with an interception and the offense did not show any good signs at all. Ito Smith was the only bright spot on offense, rushing for 71 yards on 6 carries while DeVonta Freeman disappointed everybody with his lack of production.
I expect the Falcons to bounce back with a better offensive performance. They will also be playing in their domed stadium. Matty “Ice” will certainly have a better time throwing the football and I expect a high-scoring game. I also expect, however, the Eagles’ defense to make key stops and win the game.
