The Temple Owls have a great offense and they showcased it in their last game against UConn where they beat their opponents 57-7. This was the 2nd time in three games where the Owls scored at least 50 points. QB Anthony Russo is questionable for this one after injuring his hand but RB Ryguell Armstead will be in the starting line-up. He is the leading rusher with 1098 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.
Duke’s offense continues to struggle. In their last game, they lost 59-7 to Wake Forrest which was the 2nd straight game they lost. Even though the defense is formidable, it allowed 517 total yards, including 340 on the ground. Duke is ranked 34th in defending the pass and 116th against the run. QB Jones has 2251 passing yards on the year but he hasn’t passed for over 158 yards in 3 of his last 4 games.
Duke played a tougher schedule than Temple but they continue to struggle against the run. Temple is a run-heavy team that will continue to pound the ball in this one, especially with their quarterback potentially out. I believe that they will control the clock and win the game by a touchdown or more because Duke will not be able to keep up with the Owls offensively.
