The Denver Broncos could not get anything moving against Tampa Bay at home on Sunday. They lost by 18 points and Jeff Driskel had a game he wish he could easily forget. He finished the game with just 176 passing yards on a bit over 50% pass completion with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. The Buccaneers did a good job, limiting the damage Melvin Gordon can make and he added just 26 rushing yards to his resume.
The New York Jets also do not have much to cheer about. They are 0-3 and they lost to the Colts by 29 points last Sunday. Nothing is going well for the Jets and Sam Darnold does not have anything to work with. He is struggling big time and he finished last game with 17-29 completed passes for 168 yards for 1 touchdown and 3 picks. RB Frank Gore is also not giving him any boost out of the backfield while the offensive line also does not do a good job protecting him.
I would side with the better defense in this case. Denver has the playmakers to make life miserable for Sam Darnold and keep him quiet. Melvin Gordon faced one of the best defensive fronts last week and he was not able to contribute but this will change in week 4.
