The Colts have one of the best rosters in the whole NFL and are big favorites to go far this season. They signed QB Matt Ryan from Atlanta and will give him the offensive personnel he needs, in order to win. In the preseason, though, we will see Sam Ehlinger, Jack Coan, and Nick Foles play more often. Foles will probably have a few snaps each game as he is very experienced, but the other two will play a lot more. Both Coan and Ehlinger are rookies. Coan played in a rush-heavy offense for Notre Dame and was often the second choice under center while Ehlinger played in a pass-first offense for Texas where he put big numbers.
Buffalo also has a very experienced and skilled roster that will be led by QB Josh Allen. His backups this season are Case Keenum and Matt Barkley. Keenan is 34 years old and has completed 1356 passes from 2173 passing attempts for 78 TDs and 48 INTs. Barkley is known for his risky throws as he has twice more turnovers than touchdowns, however, he always finds himself a team to stick to in the NFL.
Both offenses are highly capable of scoring points. Even though it is preseason, I expect both rookies from the Colts team to perform very well while the vets in the Bills team deliver as expected.
