Lester had a fine postseason except for game 1 of these series when Indians’ hitters ran him ragged. Indians’ hitters have seen him so many times throughout their careers and they have the advantage at their disposal. That’s why I expect the Tribe to capitalize when they have the chance against Lester.
Trevor Bauer is 12-8 for the season and he has been very ineffective in his three postseason starts.
The Indians recorded two wins in his starts but they had to count on their bullpen to do the job as Bauer allowed five runs in 9 innings. The Cubs’ only win so far in the series came against Bauer in a game that their hitters made two runs against him. They are also more familiar with his throws after they saw him just 3 days ago. I predict that both pitchers will struggle early in the game and their offenses will find their rhythm.
