The big question everyone in Los Angeles is asking himself is whether Clayton Kershaw will start game 5.
Betting Prediction:
It is unlikely for him to be given such a short rest, so I think we will see Kenta Maeda once again under the spotlights. Maeda was awful in his last two outings when he allowed 7 runs in just 9 innings. If he performs like that against Lester, it just won’t cut it. Dodgers may go for the bullpen earlier in the game than you expect but Maeda can’t allow too many runs if the Dodgers want to win this one.
Jon Lester is 19-5 for the season and he was nearly perfect in game 1 of the series when he allowed just 1 run in 7 innings. In his 3 career starts at Dodger Stadium, he has a 2.79 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. Cubs will try to win this one so badly, that when they go home, they will have to win either against Kershaw in game 6 or the crucial game 7. Jon Lester will deliver the win for the Cubs as they are going home needing only one more win.
