He has been outstanding in the postseason and he was one of the best during the regular season. It will be interesting to see him against a high-powered offense such as Cubs’.
The Cubs will start one of Jake Arrieta and John Lackey. Arrieta played well during the regular season but he hasn’t lived to the expectations in the playoffs. He won 18 games during this campaign but he is 0-1 in the postseason. Lackey is an experienced pitcher who won both clinching games in the World Series- in 2002 with the Angels and in 2013 with the Red Sox.
Cleveland’s offense hasn’t been good enough all year but their defense is keeping them in the games. I think this will be a battle between a great offense and a great defense and clearly, you need to put some points on the board in order to win. And you can’t put them by only playing defense.
