Charlotte 49ers lost two of their last three games mainly because their offense could not score much. QB Chris Reynolds has thrown for 1115 yards, 11 TDs, and 3 INTs while RB Calvin Camp and RB Shadrick Byrd are helping him with 287 and 217 yards respectively. Charlotte runs an interesting dual-threat offense and a lot of run-pass options to keep the opposition guessing.
Florida International is 1-4 with 4 straight losses. The defense is one of the worst in the country, allowing 35.2 points per game and the offense is not great as well- scoring just 26.8 points per game which is good for 147th in the country. The Panthers prefer to pass the football, even though they are not doing that perfectly well. QB Marten Bortenschlager is completing just 52% of his passes for 1368 yards, 10 TDs and 4 INTs.
I’m a big fan of good defenses and despite the fact that none of this team is elite defensively, we can fairly say that Florida International is atrocious on that front. I can’t see the Panthers holding Charlotte to a few points and most probably we will see the 49ers leading early and never looking back.
