Betting Prediction:
The Panthers and the Seahawks have been very inconsistent this year and they have to improve their performances if they want to go to the playoffs. Both teams lost their games last week as Seattle fell to the Buccaneers, scoring only 5 points in its 5-14 loss on the road while Carolina was very productive on offense, scoring 22 points but their defense came apart to allow 35 points to the Oakland Raiders.
Earl Thomas and Michael Bennett are coming back to the Seahawks’ line-up which will improve their elite defense. The Panthers need to score more than they allow in order to beat their opponents because they can’t rely on their defense to carry the load. Russell Wilson has some problems, finding his teammates this year and the running game is not going, but I think he will have his best game this year against a defense with rookie cornerbacks that allows over 30 points anytime they play.
I think the Panthers are doomed to miss the playoffs this year while the Seahawks will make a big step towards clinching a playoff berth by winning on Sunday night.
