The Carolina Panthers started the season with a loss to the Raiders at home. The only positive thing they can take out of this game is Teddy Bridgewater’s performance. He finished with 270 passing yards, a touchdown and he was able to move the chains at will. The defense, however, could not hold up the Raiders who were able to make a good run at the end of the 4th quarter, in order to win the game.
Let’s not kid ourselves, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will just be fine. They played against the best defense in their division and will now play against the worst. Tom Brady threw a pick 6 and one of their field goals got blocked. This will definitely not going to happen against the Panthers and the Bucs will also be playing at home. The running game is amazing and includes Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fournette.
Brady also has a ton of weapons to choose from and I believe that he will just pick the defense apart. As good as Bridgewater is, I do not believe that he will be able to keep up with the high-powered Bucs’ offense that will score on almost every play.
