The Arizona Cardinals worked their tails off during the off-season. QB Kyler Murray proved to be a very good player and the Cardinals did not wait long before, accompanying him with great support. DeAndre Hopkins, one of the top 5 receivers in football, signed with the Cards and will be Murray’s number 1 target. The offensive line is still suspect to me and the 49ers might get plenty of Murray during the game. The defense is also questionable, even though they have some good playmakers.
The San Francisco 49ers, on the other side, look pretty much the same team that is going to get to the Super Bowl. They lost DT DeForest Buckner but the other pieces are still there. Nick Bosa will still offer a lot of pass-rushing while Garoppolo will have to stay interceptions-free on Sunday if San Fran is to start with a win.
These divisional games are always tough and this was the case last year. The Cardinals lost the first game by just 3 points while the second one, they kept it close but lost by 10 at the end because of an awful 4th quarter. The over/under line seems a bit low for two offenses that can light the field up. I expect a lot of points just like last season.
