Betting Prediction:
Washington’s offense isn’t very explosive and that is why BYU will try to grind out the game and turn it into an old school battle on the ground. If they can milk the clock and hang around, I believe that we can have a game on Saturday. BYU are allowing just 17 points per game and they’re also very good at causing turnovers which is a thing that has to concern Washington.
The Washington defense has been even more amazing. They kept one of the best teams in the country, Auburn, to just 21 points and stuffed Utah in Salt Lake City. They do not have great pass rushers but their secondary is elite. They’re not allowing any big plays and BYU will find it hard to convert on 3rd downs.
With all of this being said, I believe that this game will turn into a defensive battle with Washington coming out on top at the end. However, I do not believe that they have enough to cover the spread which is a bit high, considering their offensive vulnerabilities. 17 points is too much to ask for and I believe that the game will also be under 46 points.
