Buffalo is 10-0 at the moment and it is perhaps the best NY based team at the moment. The team hasn’t played any strong opponents so far in the season and it recorded wins over Saluki, Southern Illinois and etc. Senior forward Nick Perkins is having an inconsistent season and even though he finished with 20 points in his last game, he had 3 points in the game before that.
Syracuse had high expectations before the start of the season and they were hyped to be one of the best teams in the country but they have disappointed so far. Senior guard Frank Howard is not playing very well at the moment and he also hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Howard is struggling from three-point range and that can be considered as an issue overall for the whole team. Syracuse ranks 196th in the country with their dreadful 41.4% from the floor, and 68.9% from the free throw line isn’t exactly impressive either.
I am not at all impressed with Syracuse this season. Buffalo may not have the best players on the planet but they should be able to stay competitive throughout the ball game.
