The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked amazing against Miami last week, even though they played without Gronk. It turned out that Gronk was not needed as WR Antonio Brown had a big game with 124 receiving yards and 2 TDs on 7 receptions. The Buccaneers’ defense stepped up and had a great game, forcing 2 turnovers. QB Tom Brady finished the game with the impressive 411 passing yards and 5 TDs.
The Philadelphia Eagles finally won a game after they lost 3 straight games. They beat Carolina 21-18 on the road and it was their defense that really surprised us. They forced Sam Darnold to 3 interceptions and these were all the turnovers that the Panthers made. Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts finished with no TDs and a pick but his passing was not needed as the defense did its job.
The Philadelphia Eagles continue to struggle with their QB as Jalen Hurts is playing with varying success. He’s mixing good with bad games and if Philadelphia’s defense looked amazing against Sam Darnold, I doubt this will be the case against Brady. Brady will take the lead early and will force Hurts to throw the football and Hurts is just not a good passer as of today.
