The Brooklyn Nets were not a team that we thought would get into the postseason but they did and they are even the 6th seed in the East. They finished the season with 3 straight wins which gave them this seed and this way they avoided facing Milwaukee and Toronto. D’Angelo Russell has improved so much this season and he is averaging 12 points per game and 7 assists. Spencer Dinwiddie is adding 16.8 points per game and 4.6 assists.
The Philadelphia 76ers lost 6 of their last 10 games and they are starting the postseason the way they expected. Actually, they didn’t have the season we all expected them to have. They were too inconsistent and Joel Embiid played just 64 games this season. He averaged 27.5 points per game, 13.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Tobias Harris has also been very reliable on offense with 18.2 points and Jimmy Butler is replicating this number as well.
These teams split the season series and very often the games between them are decided by single digits. The 76ers clearly have the much better side but the Nets have the 3-point shooting to match their offensive abilities.
