Anthony Maddie converted from wide receiver to quarterback in order to replace Ryan Graham. He has been more efficient than Graham as he is a dual-threat quarterback. His presence helped the offense combine for at least 484 yards in four of their last five games. NIU’s defense has been very consistent as they forced four turnovers against Buffalo and allowed less than 400 yards.
Bowling State’s defense is one of the worst in the NCAAF, ranking 124th out of 128 teams in yards allowed per game. They give up 507 yards per game and they have 136 plays with more than 10 yards allowed. Their offense is struggling because a redshirt freshman has been thrown in the big games but he made several mistakes, including 3 interceptions in their last game against Miami and 11 on the season. This is a game where I can’t see Bowling Green coming even close to being competitive to Northern Illinois. I think this will be a blowout where Maddie will go for at least 300.
