Boston College is 4-2 after beating a bunch of small to medium-sized colleges and losing to two ranked opponents- North Carolina and Virginia Tech. The team is doing pretty well passing the football, averaging 278.5 yards per game and the offense is benefiting from this, averaging 27.5 points per game. They do not have any elite running backs and are usually struggling with the ground game. The defense also needs improvement as it is conceding a lot of points against tough oppositions.
The Clemson Tigers are 6-0 and they look bored. Last week, they did not even play to their potential against Syracuse. They beat them 47-21 in a game where Trevor Lawrence was trying deep passes and awkward throws. He threw the ball 43 times and completed 27 of these attempts for 289 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. RB Travis Etienne was amazing, scoring 3 touchdowns and finishing the game with 86 yards on 16 carries.
I’m afraid that Clemson might start thinking about their next week’s game against Notre Dame. Trevor Lawrence will not be playing on Saturday as he tested positive for Covid-19 and this will definitely make things tougher for his teammates. I still believe Clemson will get the victory but there is a high chance they won’t be able to cover the spread because of Lawrence’s absence.
