Betting Prediction:
The Ball State Cardinals are a very inconsistent side this year. They are 4-4 and had some memorable moments such as the dominating 52-14 win over Toledo but they also lost to teams such as Florida Atlantic. A big reason for that is the lack of discipline on the defensive side of the ball. This is a team that allows 28.6 points per game which is too much when you are scoring 33 on the other side. QB Drew Plitt, however, is completing 65% of his throws for nearly 2000 passing yards already and 17 touchdowns to 6 interceptions. RB Caleb Huntley has 723 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on his resume so far.
The Western Michigan Broncos‘ picture is not much different. They are 5-4 and have also been pretty inconsistent. Their schedule was definitely tougher but they also committed losses to sides that are not that good. This is another great offensive unit with questionable defense. QB Jon Wassink has thrown for 2273 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions while RB LeVante Bellamy has rushed for 1055 yards on the ground and he also has 17 TDs.
These two teams will score in bunches and I expect a big shootout. A 63-over/under line is too much but I am pretty confident that they will reach it.
