In the Europa League, however, “The Yellow Submarine” play very good. After the defeat in the first round of the group stage away to Rapid Vienna, they have not lost to the upcoming semifinal match with Liverpool. In the phase of direct elimination, Villarreal eliminated Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, and Sparta Prague. Mateo Musacchio and Jaume Costa and are questionable for the game against Liverpool, while Leo Baptistao is definitely out of the game due to injury.
Liverpool will fail to qualify for the Champions League in “Premier League” this season but could still play in the tournament next campaign, if they win the Europa League. “The Reds” removed Borussia Dortmund quarter-finals after a great twist at “Anfield”. Liverpool is unbeaten as a guest in the Europa League after one win and five draws. Villarreal, however, is a strong host and guests will have to give the best of myself to walk away with a positive result of the “El Madrigal”.
Jürgen Klopp will not be able to rely on a lot of players in the upcoming visit of “El Madrigal”. Mamadou Sakho, Jordan Henderson, Divock Origi, Emre Can, Christian Benteke and Joe Gomez are out for the game. Philippe Coutinho is expected to return to the starting line-up after the reserve was against Newcastle at the weekend
Betting Prediction:
Villareal won their last six games at home in the Europa League and is known as one of the best teams in the Primera when it comes to matches at home. Their opponent, however, shows a good game and is unbeaten in the Europa League as a guest, so we expected a very close match. Liverpool scored in their last two away matches in the tournament against Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, while the hosts have scored in 21 consecutive home games in the Europa League, so expect goals from both teams.
