Kentucky were able to beat Northern Kentucky in the first round while they struggled a bit in the previous one after beating Wichita State by just 3 points. Their offense was struggling with Malik Monk converting only 3 of his 10 attempts. De’Aron Fox was shooting just 38% from the field and the Wildcats will need both players to be at their best in order to advance to the “Elite Eight”.
Lonzo Ball will probably be the number 1 pick in the upcoming draft and he is carrying UCLA all the way so far. He scored 18 points against Cincinnati while Bryce Alford wasn’t very productive, converting only 5 of his 13 attempts but he helped the team with his 16 points. The Bruins have good perimeter defenders which kept the Bearcats to shooting only 35% from the three-point line. Ball and Alford will get the most touches and the Bruins’ success will be brought by them if they are able to provide at least 35 points combined.
