Game: Tottenham – Liverpool
Date: 31 August, Sunday, 2014 year
Start time: 14:30 CET
Tottenham host Liverpool in a match of the 3rd round in the English Premier League match will be played at White Hart Lane in London on August 31th at 14:30 CET.
After two rounds played Tottenham is on first position with six points. Spurs started the new season with a successful away game against West Ham, after they win 1:0 in his first London derby of the season. In the second round followed by a convincing victory against Queens Park Rangers 4:0. following a very good game of team of Mauricio Pochettino. Meanwhile Tottenham qualify for the group stage of the League Europe after they eliminated AEL Limassol with a total score of 6:1.
In the upcoming match Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to rely on two key players – K. Walker and Roberto Soldado who are injured. So the attack of the team will be led by Emmanuel Adebayor, and the place of Walker is expected to play new signing Eric Dier.
Liverpool is on ninth position in the standings with a total of three points. The reds last weekend as a guest of Manchester City 1:3. Brendan Rodgers’s team showed very poor game and did not hinder citizens who came to the easy victory.
Reds are still dependent on the absence of a world class striker Luis Suarez. But in steps new signing Mario Balotelli, who is no stranger to controversy himself, and the Reds will look to him to partner Daniel Sturridge in attack this season.
Questionable for the game are M. Škrtel and Alberto Moreno, who will appear at a late fitness test before the meeting and a final decision whether to take part in the game. Certainly due to injury for the game dropped many key players for the team – J. Flanagan, D. Agger, F. Borini, A. Lallana and G. Johnson.
Liverpool have won their last 3 matches against Tottenham. The Reds smashed Tottenham 5:0 last season at White Hart Lane, getting former manager Andre Villas-Boas fired in the process.
The safest bet for this game I think is both team ot score. The Reds’ defence has left much to be desired in their first two matches, but Liverpool’s attack has a lot of class players who I think will score. Tottenham did showed amazing success in their last game and I think that will definitely score.
